Fries companies produce a lot of potato peels waste. The idea of this project is to use this material in order to create a street food packaging. The potato peel is made up of starches and fibers components, which after maceration and natural drying, acquire the ability to bond with each other and harden. The obtained material is completely made of production waste and is 100% biodegradable. After being used, the packaging can be usefully re-inserted in the biological cycle becoming animal food or fertilizer for plants.
Le aziende di patate producono molti scarti di bucce. L’idea è di utilizzare questo materiale per creare un packaging da street food. La buccia di patata è costituita da amidi e fibre, componenti che, dopo macerazione ed essiccazione, acquisiscono la capacità di legarsi e indurirsi. Il materiale ottenuto è completamente costituito da scarti di produzione ed è biodegradabile al 100%. Il packaging, dopo essere stato utilizzato, ha la possibilità di reinserirsi in modo utile nel ciclo biologico diventando cibo per animali o concime per piante.
